OVERVIEW

New higher end air fork, XT 10-speed drivetrain, Elixir 5 brakes, and a look to go with it.  We have also re-designed the headtube and bottom bracket shell.  With more machining and refining, we have made it lighter stronger, and added ISCG mounts for more drivetrain options.  A great value for the serious rider.

We start with the new F6A Tapered frame. It provides better pedaling up and down hills with less bob; better cornering with offset chainstays for more lateral stiffness; better performance and durability with sealed bearings on the pivots; lower standover clearance to jump on and off easier; a slightly more relaxed head angle (67 degrees) improved control in cornering and descending; and finishes that are second to none.

Other benefits include:

• A bend in the top tube to give lower standover clearance because often when you need to put a foot down on the trail you're not on level ground and you need as much clearance as you can get.
• Bearings on every pivot (rather than bushings which is the industry standard) that provide superior performance and durability.
• Off-set chainstays for more lateral stiffness.
• Hydroformed (drawn) tubes, rather than traditional gussets provide superior strength and durability, and are lighter.
• Improved suspension that incorporates the most proven 4-Bar Link rear suspension on the market with refinements that distribute bump stress through four links and provides a more vertical wheel path than many other full suspension frames. A vertical wheel path means that when you're pedaling the bike won't bob up and down, but it will still absorb the bumps.
• Butting (thinning the tubing walls in the right places) to lower weight. The frame weighs just 6 lbs.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty on the frame - the best in the business.

Just ride a Fezzari Full Suspension frame, and you'll notice the difference. Many have stated they're the best they've ever ridden.

We complete the Alta with a combination of great components, including: Shimano XT 10-speed derailleur for smooth, quick shifting; Avid Elixir 5 hydraulic disc brakes that are self-adjusting; New RockShox Sektor TK Air 150mm travel fork with 15mm thru-axle for more rigidity; RockShox Ario 3.2 rear shock with Lockout; Mavic XM119 rims; Maxxis Larsen TT tires; and on and on!

You get the following main upgrades over the Abajo Peak:

1. Upgraded frame - 6 inch vs 4 inch travel, tapered headtube for more lateral stiffness.
2. Upgraded drivetrain - from Shimano SLX to Shimano XT 10-speed. You'll notice the difference in smoother and quicker shifting.
3. Upgraded front fork - upgrade from RockShox XC 30 to RockShox Sektor RL with longer travel  air adjustment, and 15mm thru-axle more aggressive riding.
4. Upgraded disc brakes - go from Avid Elixir 3 disc brakes to Avid Elixir 5 brakes that are self-adjusting and lighter to the touch.
5. Upgraded wheels - from Alex DP17 to Mavic XM119 wheels that are lighter and more durable.

Who will enjoy this bike?
