Upgraded and refined yet again. The new Fezzari Racing Design F6A tapered frame gives a stiffer chassis. Combine it with SRAM X.9/X.0 2x10 drivetrain, and upgraded hydraulic disk brakes to Avid Elixir 7 and you have a single track dream. We have also re-designed the bottom bracket shell. With more machining and refining, we have made it lighter stronger, and added ISCG mounts for more drivetrain options.
With the development of better frames and better shocks, Fezzari has been able to create all-mountain bikes that are as efficient in pedaling as the 4-inch cross-country bikes, but have the ability to absorb even bigger jumps and bumps because of the extra 2 inches of travel.
This all-mountain crusher is built for all conditions. It’s as much at home gliding through the pines on a cross-country singletrack trail as it is bombing downhill through a series of rocks and jumps. With silky smooth shifting of the SRAM X.0 derailleur, and the ProPedal on the best-in-class rear shock – the Fox RP2-- it will easily climb back up the mountain again and again. The Elixir 9 hydraulic disc brakes will also stop you quickly and efficiently on Slickrock's steep trails. You'll love this incredible ride.
Fezzari's popular full-suspension mountain bike for all-purpose riding. It has the Fezzari Racing Design F6A Tapered 4-Bar Link 150mm travel full suspension premium aluminum frame:
- Sealed bearings on every pivot point (most companies use only bushings that tend to wear out and ovalize the frame causing sloppiness).
- It has a bend in the top tube to give lower standover clearance because often when you need to put a foot down on the trail you're not on level ground and you need as much clearance as you can get.
- The rear triangle has square tubing to give added strength and stiffness to the frame.
- The 4-Bar Link rear suspension distributes bump stress through four links and provides a more vertical wheel path than many other full suspension frames. A vertical wheel path means that when you're pedaling the bike won't bob up and down, but it will still absorb the bumps.
- Reinforced gussets in the right places to give it superior lateral stiffness
- Butting (thinning the tubing walls in the right places) to lower weight. The frame weighs just 6 lbs.
- ISCG Mounts for expanded drivetrain option compatibility.
- Limited Lifetime Warranty on the frame - the best in the business.
You'll notice the difference in comfort, performance, and ride on a full-suspension Fezzari frame.
You get the following upgrades over the Alta Peak:
- Upgraded drivetrain - from Shimano XT to SRAM X.9/X.0 2x10. The 1:1 gear ratios of SRAM shifting mean more precise shifting. The dual chainrings up front combined with the 10 gears on the cassette give faster more precise shifting and are lighter weight.
- Upgraded front fork- the Fox Float Factory with RLC damper has more travel and more adjustments, and still manages to be 1 lb lighter. It also has a variable lockout that allows you to adjust the level of lockout more precisely and it disengages when you hit the bumps.
- Upgraded disc brakes - The Avid Elixir 7 brakes have tool free reach adjustment for on the fly adjustability. They also feature higher grade pistons, and they are lighter.
- Upgraded rear shock- the Fox Float RP2 rear shock has better lockout -- called ProPedal -- because it sets the lockout at 25% of the travel, rather than at 100% of the travel as do other lockouts, which simply disengage the shock. This allows the shock to have negative rebound (imagine climbing a section of trail and you hit a pothole; the suspension has travel available to absorb the pothole that you wouldn't have on another type of lockout keeping your momentum and traction as you climb). The RP2 also performs smoother and responds quicker.
The Cascade Peak is truly an all-mountain bike, able to take any terrain. It's as good at cross-country riding as it is at steep climbs and downhills. Want one bike that does it all and will have room to grow with you as you grow in the sport? Choose the Cascade Peak.
