Exceeded all my expectations

In my 50 tears of bike riding I have had several wonderful bikes. Bikes that were a joy to ride and fit perfectly. The Speedster R2 that I recently purchased has now moved into the second most favored position. The bike that still at this time was a Peogeot that was incredibly light and fast. The Speedster R2 exceeded all of my expectations and is an absolute joy to ride. Thanks guys for building such a perfect combination that no other bicycle company markets. I looked at Trek, Specialized, Motobecane but no one else makes anything like the R2. Which is why I am so pleased.

what a great ride. as a 60 year old novice, the looks, style and components sold me on the complete r2 package. the disk brakes are wonderful. the guys at fezzari installed their adjustable stem so i could fine tune my upright riding comfort zone. they also installed a 28 tooth low gear cassett to allow me to spin up the cranks on uphills. my 60 mile sunday morning ride is pure pleasure. thanks to you all at fezzari for my fine red machine.

My Ultimate Commuter Bike

If you're commuting and/or doing casual biking, you should strongly consider a Hybrid like the Fezzari Speedsters. Being up right means you can see road hazards better and others can see you better. Unfortunately, a lot of bike stores emphasize the more aggressive Road Bikes and Mountain Bikes, so you don't get to see many or any of the more practical Hybrids in the stores. Hence, I was really happy to come across the Speedster R2. This bike is really great. It's a joy to commute on and I just love it. The disc brakes are a must if you ride in the rain or drizzle. The arrangement of the brake handles and up and down shifters are great because you can have your fingers on all three at once. The R2 is at an excellent and unbeatable price point. It's also light weight without going to all Carbon. I looked at a number of other commuter and/or hybrids from bigger brand names but they just didn't quite meet my expectations. Note: I did order some upgrades, so my R2 is not exactly the R2 that is listed here: I added a carbon handle bar, top of the line Dura Ace components, Shimano Mt Bike Pedals, FSA Gossamer Cranks, and all terrain tires (700x35c). The forks are wide enough to take wider tires, but these all terrain seem to be a good compromise that have good grip without adding too much rolling resistance or weight. I definitely recommend the wider tires and the Pedals. (Shimano offers even higher end pedals than the M520s.) Since I intend to keep my bike for many years, I didn't hesitate to the the higher end Shimano deraileurs, although if you are on a budget, I'm sure the stock deraileurs are fine. Some nits/hints: The Fezzari Fenders didn't work out with the all terrain tires. I ended up returning them and getting Beaver Tails from REI. Also, the stock cassette of 12x23T wasn't quite a wide enough range for me, so I ended up getting a 11x34. Instead of the Ergon grips, I got the Serfas Pro-Flo grips from REI because I think they have a bit more padding. I do highly recommend getting some sort of Ergonomic grips. If you want Front Panniers, you need to get the R1, since the R1's Al fork has mounts for it, but the R2's carbon fork doesn't. Bottom line, I think this hybrid is hard to beat.

Bought the R2 for my 28 mile roundtrip commute to work. I was hesitant to purchase a bike online from a company I knew little about and that I could not test ride. But after receiving my speedster two weeks ago, and after several commute rides, I can say that my worries were for naught. This is a superb bike. Fast, smooth shifting, and comfortable. Perfect for commuting and fitness rides. The staff at Fezzari were very courteous and helpful with all my questions. I would highly recommend that anyone searching for a new bike should check out Fezzari.

This bike is my favorite commuter bike to school as well as anywhere in the city. I road this bike in the moab century this year and it did incredible on the uphill, downhill, and the long straitaway flats. This the best choice for an everyday ride!

I've had this bike for 3 months now and I use it to commute daily to and from work. Rain or shine, this bike is awesome. It brakes great and shifts extremely well with the Ultegra derailleur. I added fenders to it and Ergon grips. The thing that amazed me most is that it still weights only 24 lbs! I get to work about 10 minutes quicker than I did on my old bike.

I have and ride a Colnago, Cannondale Cross Bike and a Kona King.. This is my bike of choice for commute, tour and every day play time. My son commutes 12 miles to school on his R2 and we are both thrilled. For the money and looks, it is hard to beat. I recommend this bike for novice and seasoned riders. Gas is high and this bike is incredibly reasonable.
