Fezzari Downhill Team Wins State Championship
August 16, 2009

Fezzari sponsored downhill mountain biker Damon Kirchmeier won the Cat 1 Utah series finale at Brian Head and wrapped up the masters state championship.  The Utah state downhill series consists of eight races with the top six races counting toward the overall state championship.  Kirchmeier won five of the six races and handily wrapped up the state championship.  "It was just nice to stay healthy for the entire season and produce some good results" said Kirchmeier who has been plagued by broken bones in seasons past.  "The new Widows Peak really took the sting out of a very rough course" he went on to say, commenting on the treacherous course that starts at 11,000 feet above sea level.

Two other Fezzari sponsored riders also did well in Brian Head and the series overall.  Kade Salisbury took the silver in the race and the Cat 1 senior division overall and Robby Bamgartner brought home the bronze in both as well.  The race wraps up a very successful season for the Fezzari DH team.
