Alta Peak
The total package for cross-country riding: new frame, front and rear lockout, hydraulic brakes, Shimano XT drivetrain, Mavic rims. It's got it all.
Fezzari requires Adobe Flash Player to view this content. You can download it here.Fezzari's ultimate cross-country bike has been completely redesigned for 2009. New frame. New components. Better ride. Better value.
We start with the new F4AB frame. It provides better pedaling up and down hills with less bob; better cornering with offset chainstays for more lateral stiffness; better performance and durability with sealed bearings on the pivots; lower standover clearance to jump on and off easier; a slightly more relaxed head angle (69 degrees) improved control in cornering and descending; and finishes that are second to none.
Other benefits include:
Just ride a Fezzari Full Suspension frame, and you'll notice the difference. Many have stated they're the best they've ever ridden.
We complete the Alta with a combination of great components, including: Shimano XT derailleur for smooth, quick shifting; Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes that are self-adjusting; RockShox Recon 100mm travel fork; Rockshox Ario 2.2 rear shock with Lockout; Mavic XM117 rims; Maxxis Larsen TT tires; and on and on!
The question you’re probably asking is “How can they do all this at this price?” That’s our core strategy: Quality. Custom. Direct.
You get 4 main upgrades over the Abajo Peak:
Who will enjoy this bike? Moderate to advanced riders and those doing more aggressive riding.
Who will enjoy this bike? Riders who want all the best in a cross-country bike and those who don’t want to second-guess themselves down the road if they got enough bike. With the Alta Peak, you’ve got everything you need to tackle all the trails.

2007 Alta
by Joshua Maag (Sandy, UT)

I've had my Alta for 2 years now. It's been a great first bike for me. Some guy bought it and used it once. I found him on Craig's List and bought it off him in mint condition for $700. 2 years of hard riding and I love it.

The 2009 Alta
by Noah Kepple's dad (Alpine, Ca (San Diego))
December 12, 2008
Hi Guys, I just wanted to post a Thank You for the help in gettin' Noah on the new frame. We went and got him a couple bike tools and after we (he) got it all built up, he took it out and called me on the phone to tell me there was a problem with his new bike. The problem? "I like it too much!" he said. Who's that kid in the Bike in Action photos?!?!

New Alta
by Tim L (St George, UT)

I have been riding the new Alta for about 1 week now and absolutely love it. I know it's brand new out but I was in the store about a week ago and saw the new version and got one of the first.
It's the most responsive bike I've ever ridden. It hugs the corners. The slightly slacker head angle makes it fly downhill. Best bike I've ever ridden. Great job!

Satisfied customer
by Aaron Huff (Payson, Utah)

I've had my Alta Peak for about 3 weeks now. When you spend $1,000 for something, you want it to be perfect, and so far I've been very happy. I had to take the bike back in once to get a few extra adjustments to fit my 6'5" frame but Fezzari was happy to accomodate. The Alta Peak is a very solid and attractive bike with very good components. It's a joy to ride--I can hardly wait to get up at 6 am each morning to ride up the canyon. The only thing I would do different is to use rubber grips for the handle bar that fit tighter. My grips move a little when I ride. It's not a big deal but just an FYI. Thank you!

I love this bike!
by Marc (Billings, MT)

This is my first full suspension bike, primarly due to the fact that I could not justify spending more that a grand for something without a motor. I discovered Fezzari while doing some online research, & I feel very lucky that I did. The Alta Peak is worth every penny. I've dropped 15 pounds in 3 weeks, because it's such a joy to ride that I try to bike every day. A good full suspension bike has always been well outside of my budget, but Fezzari made it possible. Thanks guys!

Excellent choice for a nice, smooth ride
by Nick J. (Reading, PA)
May 16, 2008
I bought this bike a year ago and I enjoy the nice, smooth ride every time I have a chance to relax outdoors. I received the bike in time as it was promised and very few things needed to be assembled, so I was ready to go in few hours. My friends did not hear about this brand name, but now they agree that is very competitive with big names at a much more affordable price.

Ride another bike, you will appreciate this one!
by Walt Mobley (Chattanooga, TN)

I was out of town for a few weeks so I rented a Giant. There simply is no comparison in handling, feel, fit. I'm amazed that a more expensive bike actually looks bad against the Fezzari.

Great product at a great price
by Tony M. (Oklahoma City, OK)

You make a great product for the price! I almost bought a Cannondale Rush 6 and for the price the Alta Peak is 10 times the bike. I almost didn't find out about you in time though. I just happened to be surfing around one night and happened upon your website by accident. I went to the local bike shop the next day and I got my deposit back on the Cannondale and ordered the Alta Peak the next day. Thanks for a great product at a great price!

You can't beat the custom set up
by Robert R. (Kent, OH)
February 28, 2008
Being an odd size rider, the idea of having a bike built to my measurements sounded impossible. I owned Trek and Specialized and spent a small fortune in extras (necks, bars, cranks, and rims). They never fit right -- always felt awkward. 10 minutes after pulling my Alta Peak from the box I felt perfection. It fits like a glove. No extras needed. And such a value the bike is fully loaded. You guys are the best.

Super responsive and climbs amazing
by Pablo L (Lake Worth, FL)
January 15, 2008
I received the Alta Peak last week and after very few tweaks the bike was ready to go. It looked solid to me and after my first day riding I can say it is incredibly durable. By no means am I making this up but I took some serious falls with the bike flying through the air etc. It was possibly the most horrible display of riding you could imagine. I had a about a 4 foot drop front wheel first after jumping a rock formation. I have a few scars to prove it. The bike kicks a**, super responsive and it climbs amazing! And after an insane day of riding its still intact with a few scratches.

Bike and support are awesome
by Mark Foster (Oceanside, CA)
September 24, 2007
All I really new about mountain bikes when I started looking was that I wanted to ride! After visiting several local bike shops, the one thing that was said consistently was components, components, components. I looked at Giant, Trek, and Specialized to name a few. Then I was led to Fezzari’s website. I printed out the specs on the Alta Peak XR and went back to every bike shop. None of the bike shops could compete with the Alta Peak XR price and components. There comparable bikes with these components were around $2000-$2500. So based on there advise, I bought a bike based off the frame design and components offered, It was the Fezzari Alta Peak XR! I’ve had this bike for about 6 months and trail ride about 50mi a week here in So-Cal. I even took it up to Mammoth Mountain for a week. The bike is just awesome! The ride is smooth, handles great in the tight stuff and climbs great. If you’re starting out just like I was, get a bike that your ability can grow into, get the most for your money and get the Alta Peak XR. I’m telling you… take a spec sheet and hit your local bike shops, they just will not be able to compete! O’ya… there support is awesome as well. I mean you can call them up and talk to a real person in less than a minute. Setting the bike up out of the box is a piece of cake…about 15min and your riding. As you can tell I love this bike and I’m sure you will as well. Thanks to all at Fezzari and hurry up with that Downhill bike…I want one of those too!
