The Catania road bike is a great all-around bike. If you want to get into road biking or want a bike that is durable, high-performing, and as comfortable as a road bike can get, the Catania is for you.
The Catania features a Fezzari Racing Design Premium Aluminum frame with compact geometry. Compact geometry means that we shorten the seat tube slightly, which makes the bike a little lighter and reduces lateral flex (you don’t want your bike flexing side to side when you’re pedaling). It also allows your riding position to be a little more upright.
Add to that a great set of components, including: Shimano Ultegra derailleur and Shimano 105 shifters for smooth shifting (it’s a 30-speed so it will give you plenty gears for steep hills or long, flat rides; Fezzari Carbon II fork to minimize the road chatter; FSA Gossamer crank with external oversized bearings that make it pedal smoother and more efficiently; Alex double-wall rims that are extremely durable; Maxxis performance tires (the same tires as on our highest end bike); and a Fezzari Racing Design saddle that is one of the most comfortable road saddles you’ll ride.

After Lots of Research, This Was the Right Bike
by Shawn LaMar (Salt Lake, UT)

Putting slicks on my mtn bike was getting old, so finally decided to get into a road bike. I did A LOT of research & test rode several bikes, both new & lightly used. This one definitely stood out among comparable bikes. Got fit at the Fezzari shop in Utah, and couldn't be happier. Have only put 400 miles on in first month, and I'm extremely pleased. These guys build & sell a good bike. (Didn't even need to upgrade the saddle which is commom w/ many other bikes when you read the reviews.)

1 Year Review
by Robert L (Miami, FL)

OK, I've had the Catania for 1 year now. It's as tight after one year as the first day I got it. I ride 50-100 miles per week. It is rock solid in cornering, a great hill climber, and very quick. I absolutely love the bike.

Thrilled with its performance and quality
by William Koza (Chagrin Falls, OH)

I ordered my Catania earlier this summer ('07) and have been thrilled with its performance and quality of construction. The support staff was most helpful and offered me a lot of helpful guidance. The bike arrived exactly as advertised, on time, and in perfect condition. Minor final assembly was a no-brainer. I was reluctant to make such a major purchase sight unseen but have been most pleased. I rode my first century ride about a week ago and the bike performed flawlessly (even though it rained most of the way). This company, their support, and quality of goods is truly first class.

Fezzari provided the best product support I have ever received from any purchase I have made
by Mark (Mission Viejo, CA)
August 17, 2007
I recently purchased a Catania road bike. I am a baby boomer and this is the first bike I've had since I was 12. My oh My have they changed! I am a novice to the high quality and somewhat complex improvements. During the first two days after receiving the bike, I struggled with the manuals provided in setting up the bike for my first ride - your online resources were VERY helpful but still lacked the depth and detail needed to properly prepare the bike. Low and behold, later on the second day I received a call from Fezzari inquiring if I had received the bike and did I have any questions. It was such a relief - getting that call! I pelted them with a lot of novice questions to which they responded with great enthusiasm, knowledge, and patience. All of my calls have been met with the same enthusiastic professionalism and patience. I realize that probably very few buyers of your products are as limited in knowledge and need far less help in preparation and the manuals are probably adequate for their needs. However, the interaction with Fezzari has made this a terrific experience for me - the best product support I've ever received from any purchase I have made. I am sending this email because of that fact. I will recommend Fezzari to the rest of my aging boomer friends who get the bug to ride - there are more out there than you might think.
