Take your riding to the next level with the Foré CR2 full carbon performance bike, built to be extremely durable and responsive. Feel the adrenalin rush as it accelerates smoothly and corners aggressively. Great for cross-country riding, a triathlon, and even a race.

Start with a proprietary Fezzari Racing Design Xr3 carbon alloy frame that was recently tested as one of the most durable frames on the market, and weighs approximately 2.1 lbs. The meticulous frame manufacturing process allows the frame to have a transparent finish. Many in our industry will paint over what we'd rather show –lots of carbon. What are the benefits of this frame? It’s extremely light and it absorbs bumps better than aluminum. It’s also the best climbing bike you’ll get on because of the carbon tubing and the aluminum joints. It makes it just slightly stiffer than the monocoque carbon frames. Plus, it’s durable.

You get 6 main upgrades over the Catania:

  1. Upgraded Frame – the CR2 has a full carbon frame vs the Catania’s aluminum alloy frame. The carbon frame is lighter and will absorb a little more of the road chatter when riding.
  2. Upgraded Shifters – you go one step up on Shimano’s shifters to Shimano Ultegra shifters rather than Shimano 105. They will shift a little smoother and are a little lighter.
  3. Upgraded Front Derailleur – from Shimano 105 to Shimano Ultegra, which gives you a little better front shifting and smoother trim tab shifting (when you push in half-way on the shifters, the derailleur stays on the same chainring but moves over a half-step to allow you to use all gears on the rear cassette without having the chain rub).
  4. Upgraded Saddle – upgraded to the Fezzari Racing Design R1 saddle, which is lighter and has titanium rails to absorb more road chatter.
  5. Upgraded Seatpost – from aluminum alloy to Fezzari Racing Design XrT 3K Carbon, which is lighter and absorbs more road chatter.
  6. Upgraded Wheelset – from Alex AT-400 to Shimano RS-10, which are lighter and have bladed spokes for better aerodynamics.
Who will want this bike? If you’ve been biking and plan to get into it more, and you want to get something that will grow with you as you grow in the sport (but you’re not willing to pay the price of a CR3 or CR5), then this is the bike for you. It takes you into the full Shimano Ultegra and carbon bike category, and you’ll have the confidence that you can ride with anyone, anytime.

The Foré CR2 comes with Shimano Ultegra components (including brakes, shifters, derailleurs), FSA Gossamer crank, titanium/carbon saddle, and carbon seat post (carbon handlebar upgrade is also available).

Shimano Ultegra Shifters - Feature: short stroke shifting; dual control lever for up and down shifting with ultra refined trim tab shifting (half shifts between gears to utilize all gears efficiently); 1 bearing for smooth shifting; anodized aluminum finish

Shimano Ultegra Rear Derailleur - Features wide link design which increases rigidity; refined cable housing with silicon grease which reduces friction by 10%; sealed ceramic bushing guide pulley; sealed bearing tension pulley; anodized aluminum body

FSA® Gossamer MegaExo Crankset - It features cold forged AL6061/T6 crank arms; MegaExo bottom bracket with external oversized cartridge bearings that are closer to the cranks for more precise, stable shifting; compact design which has as good of gear ratios as the old 27-speeds but much better shifting.

Fezzari R1 Saddle - Features an ultra smooth and durable shell that has minimal rubbing; cut-out center for extra comfort and heat dissipation; titanium rails that flex to minimize road chatter; and just the right amount of filling to give a surprisingly soft and comfortable ride.

  Great Bike, Great Support

I have had my CR2 for about 4 months now. I have been putting about 100 miles a week on it. The more I ride it the more I love it. It's the most solid frame I've ridden. Lateral stiffness is very good. Very solid in climbing. Love the geometry. I have ridden in two triathlons and on many road rides. A great all-around bike. No question the best bike I've ever had.
