Features
For years, the Wasatch Peak has received awards for best value from many leading industry publications. With a complete ground up redesign, we have added even more value, versatility, and fun.
We started from scratch with a complete new design of the F29B formed alloy frame. We upped the wheel size to accommodate both 29er and 27.5 plus tires with a 148-boost rear thru axle. This allows riders to explore more terrain in comfort and confidence with the wide 2.8 plus tires, or to toe the race line with the fast and efficient 29er setup. We borrowed geometry cues from our years of design and manufacturing experience. The 68-degree head tube angle makes sure you have confidence and stability in rough terrain but maintains precise steering control. The steep 75-degree seat tube angle helps put your body in a powerful and efficient pedaling position while offering comfort to your back. The short but stable 435mm chainstay length keeps the bike agile while offering stability and confidence.
The Wasatch Peak follows the lines of the Cascade Peak suspension bike with a strong, chiseled look. We added internal brake, derailleur, and optional dropper post routing with removable service ports to keep things tidy. A threaded bottom bracket and removable derailleur hanger keep maintenance a breeze and the option to carry 3 water bottles on the trail longer and two frame color choices help you stand out from the crowds.
The Wasatch Peak Comp comes with a Sram SX Eagle 1x12 wide range cassette to be sure you have low gears for the off-road climbs, but can keep speed on the bike path back to the car. The SR Suntour air fork offers adjustability with the light-weight air spring, as well as external rebound and lockout. Stopping power is provided by Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, and the WTB tubeless ready wheelset were built to withstand abuse and years of riding.
