Features

Completely re-engineered and re-designed to offer both 27.5 x 2.8 plus tires or 29 x 2.2 tires. The Plus tires are for fun and smooth riding, and the 29ers are for a light, fast, race machine.

With super short 425mm chainstay, 1x only drivetrain, and 120mm travel fork, the new Solitude Plus has fun written all over it.

We created our new carbon hardtail to be as versatile as the riders who own it.  We also optimized the geometry and carbon layup design to give even the most demanding XC racer the machine you need to get to the top of the podium. The fast and race-ready Solitude features:

  • 29er wheels or 27.5+ wheel options
  • 900-gram frame weight
  • Continual Dispersal Box Technology
  • Slim tube shapes on the top tube and seat stay that provide vertical flex and horizontal stiffness

In addition, we dropped the front derailleur to shorten the chainstays to a playful 425mm and widened the rear triangle for 148x12 boost spacing and big 27.5x2.8 tires.

We didn’t forget the finishing touches like internal cable routing with rattle-stopping ports, an english thread BB, and the option to run an internally routed dropper. It’s these little touches that make the fit and finish of the new Solitude top notch.

Combined with our 23-Point Custom Setup, multiple component build packages, an amazing warranty, and a little extra cash in your pocket by buying direct, the Fezzari Solitude is the bike to get you on top of the podium or on the Strava leaderboards.

Industry Reviews

The Solitude breaks down to three factors: weight, price, and performance. It delivers on all three.

It could make for a killer ride for the racer on a budget.

Our look at the details suggest that the company has done their homework.

Any time you have a new bike that will soon be for sale, you want to ensure it has adequate testing. Sure, there’s everything you can test in the lab, but you also need some real world testing as well. It doesn’t get much more real, or intense, then giving a bike to the Iron Cowboy.

Fezzari’s out-of-the-box thinking allows riders to afford bikes they would otherwise have to mortgage their house for

Game Changer

by Ryan D (Cedar Hills, UT)

I took out the 27.5+ demo bike before the production bikes were available to try out this setup and couldn't stop laughing while riding. This bike brings back the pure joy of riding a bike! I rode many of the top brand hard-tail bikes and XC full suspension bikes and was convinced I'd never go back to a riding a hard-tail. I spec'd out all the top bikes, read tons of reviews, and rode as many bikes as possible. After riding the new Solitude carbon frame hard-tail with the boost wheel spacing and the 27.5+ tires, I knew that was the type of setup I was looking for. The power and acceleration out of the stiff frame was amazing, but the bike is still incredibly nimble and smooth through rough sections of trail due to the 27.5 wheel and the ability to run 15-18 psi in the 2.8 tires. The tire absorbs all the harsh trail bumps that would normally cause fatigue on a long ride as well as give you insane traction on the corners and technical climbs. I searched the market for a similarly spec'd bike . . . and couldn't find anything. This bike is not just the "bang for your buck" that I hear when people talk about Fezzari bikes. In my opinion this is one of the top bikes on the market, even among the big brand names; I've ridden a lot of them and found nothing to match the fun and versatility of this bike. I've also heard the discussions that the 27.5+ tire is fun but to be fast you need a 29er. There is a lot of discussion out there on this topic right now and as a design engineer and rocket scientist I'm not convinced that the 29er has any speed advantage over the 27.5+ setup. This bike is fast! I ended up buying this bike for my wife, who rides 3-4 times a week and is a coach for a local bike team. With a family of cyclist that race, I'm last on the list for the upgrade, but this will be the bike I get when it's finally "my turn".

Wow

by Patrick McIntyre (Atlanta, Georgia)

I love this bike, perfect fit with only a few minor adjustments to the controls and it was perfect. I really appreciated the personal connecting prior to the build to confirm sizes and set up. Expect personal attention to assist with the proper size selection and the personal note on the box from the builder just adds to the feeling it was made for you. They do make the bike for the people who typically fit a size range, it fits you. This bike climbs very well, turns great, and shifts even better with the 1x11. I have been riding this on everything from flowing single track to twisting and turning trails with numerous obstacles. The more I ride this machine the More I love it. Only negatives, brakes do no have much adjustment as the pads wear and wheels are not stiff feeling. I also wish I had a little more ground clearance concerned when I go over an obstacle and dragon the front sprocket. I will be upgrading tires with a more aggressive sidewall for better cornering. Thanks to gang at Fezzari and providing what they advertise.

I have the 2017 Solitude and I love it. It is a great bike to race on, and a bike to ride and have fun.
